Raw ELM3wca2_100 model output

Each link below contains a .zip archive of raw model output (and some input) files within the following subdirectories:

  • NCDF - binary spatial (map) time series output files of multiple (user-selected) variables, at multiple (user-selected) output time steps;
  • Input - tab-delimited text input data files, including canal & water control structure definitions, parameter sets, configuration files, and list of binary Initial Condition input map filenames;
  • PtSer - tab-delimited text point time series output files of multiple (user-selected) variables, for multiple (user-selected) point (grid cell) locations, at multiple (user-selected) output timesteps;
  • Budget - tab-delimited text BIR time series output files of multiple budget and standard (non-budget) variables, all at (user-selected) monthly output time steps;
  • Canal - tab-delimited text time series output files of 1) multiple canals' water depth, Cl conc, TP conc and 2) multiple water control structures' water flows, flow-weighted Cl conc. and TP conc, all at (user-selected) daily output time steps;
  • Debug - text files that are only useful to model developer if issues arose (not applicable here).

    --- Note on .nc files in the above NCDF directory: in addition to raw model .nc output files, there are multiple post-processed .nc files that are results of single-date extractions or POSmean statistical calculations; those post-processed files are identified by "VarName.ScenarioName.suffix.nc", where suffix indicates a date or POSmean. Those operations were made using unix "NetCDF Operators" (NCO).

    The netCDF files are "self-documenting", and adhere to the CERP netCDF standard. See multiple options for OpenSource software to view and analyze netCDF data.
    We recommend the use of "EverVIEW", an excellent, free software tool developed by the USGS to visualize and analyze netCDF files, available at this Joint Ecosystem Modeling web page.
